Bosasa’s Information Technology division ON IT 1 developed TrustMaster Child & Youth Care which is tailor made to promote knowledge management. An identification system - using fingerprints and photos - is used to provide a comprehensive database. This ensures that all information is captured and used in developing and monitoring the child’s progress. The administrators, social workers, occupational therapists, educators, nurses, doctors and other professionals are all linked to the main frame. Reports are generated and used for the continuous development of programmes. Data is also utilised for statistical purposes and for further research in the field.
