Our Background
The Youth Development Centres were established in June 1995 in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Social Development. During this period the Amendment of the Correctional Services Act necessitated the need to fast track the movement of children from Adult Correctional Facilities & Police cells to suitable Places of Safety.
One of these was and still is the Bosasa Mogale Youth Development Centre in Krugersdorp which became the first privately managed Secure Care Centre. The Transformation in South Africa and that of the Child & Youth Care System dictated the need for change and adaptation. Bosasa embraced this and moved beyond in developing an effective strategy in line with legislation and policy, resulting in growth of facilities nationally.
Excellence is not only a matter of Skill but rather lies in our Attitude. Come and experience our holistic developmental strategy with children in trouble with the law.
