Reintegration After Sentence

Some of the children in our care are often found guilty of the alleged crimes and are sentenced to imprisonment or other programmes. Reintegration starts not once this happens but upon admission of the child. This means that significant others and family members are part of the process from the beginning. Where children have no families, other community members who are willing to assist are contacted.

A lot of our children have been assisted with prison visits, furthering their studies, assisting with employment opportunities and restorative justice processes.
Community based organizations and faith based organizations also play a major role in the reintegration of our children. Children are also assisted to complete their schooling and in many instances have succeeded in passing exams whilst in our care. We have even had children successfully writing Matric exams whilst in our care.
