New Innovations

The Children’s Act makes provision for programmes for sentenced children in Child and youth Care Centres. The Department of Social Development is tasked with the management of these facilities which previously belonged to the Department of Education. The Department is currently exploring the option of incorporating such programmes in their current facilities.

This means that one or more of the facilities which Bosasa manages on behalf of the Department of Social Development may have sections for sentenced children in the future.
