Governance and Compliance

"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude" - THOMAS JEFFERSON

Behind every success story, regardless of the country or industry, one aspect remains consistent: good governance. Just as an attentive mother organises her time, tasks and day-to-day to-do lists, we at BOSASA spend considerable time structuring ourselves for the better of those we take care of. We do this in such a way as to ensure the best possible service will consistently be the ultimate outcome.

Acting strictly within governance and legislation best practices, we’re always taking extra care in ensuring that our ‘household’ runs as smoothly and effectively as possible. BOSASA is proud to be acknowledged as willing partners with the Institute of Director’s publication (King III), which was designed and published in association with Judge Mervyn King.

Words, as they often say, are cheap and that is why we further demonstrate our commitment through our ongoing compliance with legislation and in-depth auditing structures. We make use of the ISO 9001 2008 systems, with DQS as the internationally esteemed Certification Body conducting our external audits.

When it comes to the training of our Internal System Auditors, only the best will do. By attending externally accredited Lead Auditors Professional Training Courses, we guarantee our auditors provide only the highest quality service possible.

At BOSASA quality management is critical

Q Pro - the market leaders in Health, Food and Safety Auditing - showed no hesitation in awarding us with full certification for our exemplary food management services.

Furthermore, BOSASA utilises a number of quality management companies including:
  • Swift
  • Microlab
  • Ecolab
  • Compact
  • Management
We follow several steps and procedures to ensure that we can, with all certainty, say that every single avenue has been taken to guarantee only the best services. The most well-equipped staff members possible are being employed by our youth centres.

  • Security
  • Education
  • Training
  • Secure care
  • Diversion
  • Sentenced
Our emphasis is of course to create a safe spaces within the Child and Youth Care Centres around South Africa. At BOSASA we constantly learn and grow, never resting on our past achievements but rather striving for new ones. Our main goal will always remain the welfare of our country’s youth, making their needs our priority and providing them with the resources they require to grow into healthy, happy individuals.

We facilitate well-structured Centres that are in line with the best practices set by government, where the youth will always serve as the main beneficiaries. BOSASA provides a place to call home for many children who are beginning their new lives.
